Harima is pleased to announce that its principal subsidiary, LAWTER was granted an EcoVadis gold medal. This is its second gold medal, following acquisition in 2018.

EcoVadis is the world's most trusted business sustainability rating provider. Since its founding in 2007, the France-headquartered organization has evaluated more than 130,000 companies from over 200 industries and 180 countries, as of 2024.

LAWTER was highly evaluated on the criteria of environmental protection, ethics, labor and human rights, and sustainable procurement, and the current gold rating places it in the top 5% companies assessed by the platform.

LAWTER became a member of the Harima family in 2011, and ever since has contributed significantly to our company's presence in world markets. Headquartered in Elgin, Illinois, it has a global network of 9 factories, 4 R&D centers and multiple offices, with operations covering the core areas of North America, South America, Asia, Oceania and EMEA. In addition, the company has a diverse workforce of over 600 people, approximately a quarter of all Harima employees. Its product portfolio primarily focuses on resins for printing inks and adhesives that serve a variety of industries.

With the world rapidly shifting towards a greener economy, the company is now accelerating development of products that use rosin, fatty acids and turpentine obtained from pine trees, in order to deliver high quality products from renewable resources and support growth into the future.
