HARIMA’s Solder Wire Solutions
Available in a broad range of formulations, choosing the correct type of solder wire for your application is paramount to successful assembly and efficient manufacturing.
Conventional soldering wires usually consist of tin-lead alloys. However, HARIMA also offers lead-free solder wire including SAC alloy and 90iSC alloy. These are commonly used in areas where sustainability and compliance with REACH and RoHS is needed. While they often have a higher melting point, the addition of nickel to certain formulations helps to mitigate this limitation.
Cored Wire
HARIMA’s multiple flux core technology in our cored wire options distributes flux evenly throughout the solder wire, offering fast wetting and high solder joint reliability. Used in all types of electronic assemblies, cored wire consists of a hollow solder wire filled with a flux core to aid efficient soldering processes. MULTiCORE cored wires are ideal for use in robotic soldering, repair, or reassembly of devices. HARIMA’s MULTiCORE cored wires provide a number of different products suited for individual needs.
Usually, solder wire with flux features either an acid core or a rosin core and can be combined with lead-based or lead-free solder wire HARIMA also offers halogen free formulations as flux inside the wire.
Solid Solder Wire
Used as both a mechanical joiner in the plumbing industry and on PCB boards within the electronics industry, alongside a broad range of other applications, solid solder wire requires a separate flux in order to be used in either manual or automated processes. Like solder wire with a flux core, solid solder wires can be found with either lead-based or lead-free alloy wires.
Thin Solder Wire
Thin solder wires are most commonly used within electronic assemblies where precision soldering is required. The small diameter of these wires allows precision feeding into tight areas where the solder joint is required. They may or may not also include a built-in flux core and they are available in both lead-based and lead-free formulations.
